Detroit Lions: Ricardo Silva waived; Xavier Proctor, Trevor Coston signed

ALLEN PARK — The Lions added defensive tackle Xavier Proctor and safety Trevor Coston to the training camp roster on Thursday.

Coston was signed by the Chicago Bears in 2012 as an undrafted free agent but cut during training camp. He was a three-year starter at the University of Maine where he also returned punts.

Safety Ricardo Silva, who played in 10 games for the Lions in 2012 with six starts, was waived.

Also defensive end Spencer Nealy was waived.
